Our 6th-8th grade students along with former RYLM students who now serve as mentors took part in a 4 week summer enrichment and prevention program. Throughout the duration of the program students created personal vision boards, learned about the dangers of tobacco and electronic cigarettes, and helped refurbish chairs for the media center. They also had special workshop sessions with 34th district court Judge Brian Oakley, Slam Poetry Artist Keebie Glover, and a self defense professional. In addition they competed in minute to win it challenges, played bubble soccer and created slime as a science project.
